This morning I was on the bus thinking, what a major change my life has been in just 1 year.

Somewhere this time last year, I was still working at Pasta Fresca.
Then I quit and then bounced around for a while before joining Botak Jones in Dec.

Working in Botak Jones has been great but things have changed so much. The standard have dropped and my kakis have left 1 by 1 for various reasons. Albert's dismissal (for eating at the navigator's table) was the last straw and I found no more reasons to stay on. I thought I'll regret leaving but surprising, I felt relieved instead- yay! No more giving lame excuses to customers like "sorry I have to charge you so much and so much because it is the company's new policy".

Then this month I started work in another pasta restaurant- Pasta de Waraku. It's a Japanese pasta restaurant and though I have prior knowledge regarding pastas, I still had so much more to learn. Last week I tried food running and it killed me- I had to keep referencing to the menu to check if I've garnished the food correctly and this is not an easy task considering how many items are offered on the menu. Also, I had to garnish and serve the food out (like to the tables if nobody is free to help me) asap if not the kitchen will get jammed with the other food items when I come back. And then there's the SOP problem. Not only do I have a major trouble with memorising those Japanese phrases, but also I really don't like shouting.

For this company I laid down my pride but fortunately, all these troubles are long gone because I got fired yesterday. Small incident really, but it blew up because the manager was threatening with money and I don't like people to mess with money and so we gave each other attitude and I lost because she's the manager.

OH WELL. Money come, money go. What's more important than money is all those things that money can't buy like memories, health, friends and family right?? =) Haha. Now that I'm jobless, I will have more time to do what I want .. like enter that HBO video competition, watch the F1 race and go kboxing with Wenying!

Haha. Life is good.
